Instrument that detects high-frequency ultrasound (38-40 kHz) generated by turbulence in compressed air, gas, steam and vacuum leaks, as well as electrical arcing in medium/high voltage and steam trap defects. Detection range: air leaks from 0.01 mm diameter at 1 m distance. Compressed air leaks represent 20-30% of plant energy consumption; detecting and repairing them yields significant savings.
