A V-belt or timing pulley designed for shaft mounting using the European Taper Lock bushing system, the most widely used bushing standard outside North America. The bushing has a 1:16 taper (shallower than QD) providing very high clamping forces and excellent concentricity. Standard bushing series: 1008 (10-22 mm bore), 1108 (11-28 mm), 1210 (12-32 mm), 1310 (14-35 mm), 1610 (14-42 mm), 2012 (18-50 mm), 2517 (20-65 mm), 3020 (25-75 mm), 3030 (25-80 mm), 3535 (30-90 mm), 4040 (35-100 mm), 4545 (40-110 mm), 5050 (45-125 mm). Bushing material: cast iron or steel. Tightening torques specified per size (critical — overtightening cracks the hub). Interchangeable across manufacturers worldwide: Fenner, Optibelt, TB Woods, Martin, SKF. Per BS 3790. The Taper Lock system is preferred in Europe and Latin America for its precision and reliability.
