A heavy-duty conveyor belt reinforced with longitudinal galvanized steel wire cables embedded in rubber, designed for the highest tensions and longest single-flight distances in mining and bulk material handling. Designation: ST followed by breaking strength in N/mm width — ST 630, ST 800, ST 1000, ST 1250, ST 1600, ST 2000, ST 2500, ST 3150, ST 4000, ST 5000, ST 6300, ST 7500, ST 10000. Cable diameters: 3.5-11.5 mm depending on grade. Elongation at working tension: only 0.1-0.3% (versus 1.5-2% for textile belts), enabling very long conveyors (up to 30+ km single flight) with minimal take-up travel. Splicing: hot vulcanized only, with cables overlapped in a specific pattern; mechanical splicing not possible. Per ISO 15236 (steel cord) and DIN 22131. Top/bottom covers: 4-10 mm / 3-6 mm typical.
